Conferences/Seminars/Meetings
The CLH is particularly proud of the high quality and diversity of the many seminars that it sponsors throughout the year. There are a number of ongoing weekly training journal clubs and teaching seminars with a significant component related to lung health. All the sub specialty training programs represented within the CLH have weekly academic rounds for Fellowship training programs. In addition the major sites have Grand Round programs with a significant input from the CLH community. The UBC Respiratory Division has run a very successful Professional development course annually for physicians and allied health professionals. The BCMA Respiratory Medicine Physician Section also has its annual business meeting during this event. In March 2008 this highly successful two day event was preceded by the CLH's First Annual Research and Policy Day. In parallel there was a nursing and allied health professional all day educational development meeting. In addition the BC Lung Ministry of the Environment and School of Environmental Health Annual Better Breathing meeting was held in conjunction with these meetings. In total over 600 researchers, clinicians and policy makers attended these meetings. In 2010 we will include a public forum for patients and the general community in conjunction with these meetings. We will also present the 3rd Annual David Bates Memorial Lecture which will be given by Dr. Jim Hogg.

BC Lung Health Forum invites you to a combination of meetings enabling superb opportunity for UBC Lung Health affiliated physicians, scientists, fellows and graduate students to showcase lung related research carried out in BC providing a forum for professional development. New this year is the Nursing and Allied Health Professional Update meeting on Friday March 26, 2010 from 8 am - 5 pm.
